José María Beneyto
He has advised more than 100 transactions for large multinationals and mid-market companies from Europe, the US and Latin America. His areas of expertise range from consumer and health, logistics and transportation, real estate and infrastructures companies to energy, telecoms and technology.
As an international lawyer with experience of 25 years in M&A and private equity, he has worked in the US, Germany and Spain. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of several companies and foundations. A law Professor and advisor to the European Commission, the OECD and the World Bank, he has published extensively on economic and legal matters.
He holds higher degrees in Law and Economics, a masters degree from Harvard University, a degree in Business Management from IESE Business School, and doctorates in Law and Philosophy from the University of Münster (Germany).
He was an Economic professor at Universidad Complutense, Universidad Carlos III and Minnesota University. He has been Economic Advisor in the Industry and Energy Ministry and in the Economic Office of the Prime Minister. He is a member of the Strategy Committee of Consulnor. He is as well the Director of the “Madrid Macroeconomics Workshop” and act as an evaluator for the “Journal of Political Economy”, “American Economic Review”, “International Economic Review”, “Journal of Economic Theory”, “Review of Economic Dynamics”, “European Economic Review”, “Macroeconomic Dynamics”, “Investigaciones Económicas” y “Spanish Economic Review”.
He has a Ph.D. in Economics from Minnesota University and his thesis was directed by the Economic Nobel Price Edward C. Prescott. He was granted a scholarship from the Sloan Foundation, the Andreas Foundation, the Fulbright-Hays Foundation and Banco de España. He has investigated on Welfare, Pension System and Retirement Policy, Inequalities, Income and wealth distribution and Debt and Monetary Policy among many topics.
Ignacio Bernar Elorza
Has more than 30 years of proven expertise and performance achievement in Senior private banking and financial consultancy. He has hold senior executive positions at Banque Rothschild, Barclays Bank and Continental Illinois National Bank.
He holds several non-executive director positions in different industries. He has a Law Degree and Advanced Management Program from IESE Business School.
He has advised more than 70 transactions valued at almost € 10.000 millions in different industries in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Previously he has lead since 2005 the Investment Banking practice in Spain and Portugal for the Rothschild Group.
He was, as well, member of the Executive Committee of the bank in Spain, supervising other practices. Before he joined the Rothschild Group he was the Director in the Corporate Finance department of Deloitte. He is, as well, member of the Board of Directors in several companies of the Asset Management, Private Equity, Energy and Media industry.
He holds an AMP degree from Harvard Business School, and MBA from IESE Business School, a degree in Finance from London School of Economics and degree in Economics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
